The Licensing Process

  • To enter the exciting real estate profession, a student needs to take this course and pass the course with a score of 70% or more on the end-of-course exam. The student also needs to take the state exam and pass the state exam with a score of 75% or more.

  • The process to make application to the State of Florida for the Initial License process is the following: 

    1. Heart of Florida Realty Cooke School recommends that, if at all possible, as soon as the student decides to take the sales associate license course, the student should mail in their application to the State of Florida. 

    2. The application needs to be notarized. Complete the application as honestly as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL.

    3. Mail the application into the State of Florida along your check for $105.

    4. Your fingerprints need to be taken at a Promissor Exam Center. 

    5. Reservations are necessary for this process.  Reservations can be completed by calling Promissor at 877-238-8232 or making reservations on the Promissor website and selecting "Fingerprint Services".   The fee for the fingerprint process is $61 (Promissor $14 and FDLE/FBI $47).  There are currently 15 Promissor Exam and Fingerprints Centers in Florida.
